I wrote this just a day after Peshawar School massacre. We will forget, just like we no longer remember hundreds of women and children who died in Qisa khwani bazaar, Peshawar and Moon market, Lahore. Just like we are never recalling Ch. Aslam, the super cop or Aitezaz Ehsan, the brave kid. Just like we forgot martyrs of Wahga bomb blast.
Take a trip down memory lane, do we even remember that barbaric act of terrorism on 18th October, 2007 which was an assassination attempt on Benazir but resulted in the death of more than two hundred civilians? No, we don't.
You offer fateha for those who are already in heaven, fair enough. You wanna light candles, go ahead. Do everything but the most important thing is not to let the faces of those children fade away from your memory.
This is high time that we claim our mosques back, that we claim our madrasas back, that we claim our Islam back that has been held hostage by these extremists for the last three decades. It's about time that you should stand up and ask your molvi to condemn taliban and their ideology.
This is the time when we should stand up against mullahs like abdulaziz. I used to think that Lal Masjid was musharaf's mistake but I don't think so now. Perhaps, he was right because I just saw those "Masoom talibat"of Jamia Hafsa pledging alliance to ISIS and calling them to attack Pakistan and expand their caliphate.
If we fail to remember this incident, we will prove that we are a dead nation.
If not dead, we're definitely in coma.
If not dead, we're definitely in coma.
